A Bright New Future Awaits

Something About Me

I was once a humble furniture mover living with my parents in Florida. Then after a brief stint working at Wal-Mart, I decided to join the military. When that was finished I decided to try and join the workforce the hard way, but found out that the job market is ridiculous. I now work at a Burger King. Me! So I decided to strike a self-driven path and create my own way to pay rent.

Story Time

While I was in the Navy, there were many times small problems would arise and the only solutions available would be creative ones. One of my favorites was when one of our pressure testers was found to be in disrepair after long-term storage. We needed to perform the test the next day. So after examining the schematics and materials used, I was able to order the appropriate parts. Knowing the time constraints I was under, I went to the other divisions workspaces to procure the parts I needed. The intention being to replace them with the parts on order. I had to use unorthodox methods of assembly, due to not having the specialty tools needed to create the joining’s that had come undone. But two pairs of vice grips and a strong back was enough to friction weld the delicate, thin metal. After a complete rebuild, we then found the gas cylinder that was needed to operate it had sprung a leak, likely months ago. Using another cylinder with 4 different fittings on it’s neck was enough. It was jokingly referred to as a Frankenstein’s monster of a rig, but was ultimately able to get the job done in the time allotted. Within the week, all parts taken were replaced. And by the end of the year our monster was retired for a brand new pressure tester. It performed well on three occasions.
